Week 1 in the Books!

Friday, September 11, 2020 by Tricia Hexter | Uncategorized

I just want to thank you all for the roller coaster ride this week! There were lots of scheduling issues and it made for a very stressful week for many, including me. As stressful as that all was, the minute I was in teacher mode with your kids, my world was suddenly right again! I enjoyed EVERY second of all of the different age kids I had the privilege to teach this week!

Thank you for working with me to ensure your kids have a safe place to come and learn that supports their online experience. I posted many pictures on Facebook and Instagram, so hopefully you follow the GPI4L page so you get to see your child in action! If you selected that you do not give permission to post pictures, I will not post a picture of their face, but I may cover it up with a sticker.

Please note that Mrs. Brengman and Ms. Husk will not be here next Tuesday and I will be the sub! 7th graders WATCH OUT! LOL! Then, moving forward we have added ANOTHER teacher to the mix! Ms. Claeys is an amazing math teacher from Pierce. She will be taking on the Tuesday and Wednesday groups and Ms. Husk will be the Thursday teacher for Math. Ms. Husk needed to lighten her load as she took on a new role as a guidance counselor and is feeling a bit stretched and did not want to compromise quality! Mrs. Brengman has been retired for a few years and is slowly working back into the game. She is enjoying her time, but is still finding her sea legs!

The staff is growing, but my goal is to provide top notch service. Feedback is not only welcome, it's appreciated. I care what your kids say. If something isn't great, I NEED to know. If something IS great, I WANT to know!

Enjoy your weekend with this beautiful Fall-like weather!
